Hyundai Alcazar

Hyundai Alcazar is a three-row compact crossover SUV manufactured in India by South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. Introduced in April 2021, this is a longer wheelbase version of the subcompact Creta, with an additional third-row seating, styling changes, and a different option for the power train.

Overview

The Alcazar was first unveiled in April 2021 and launched in June 2021. It is based on the Creta, with a 150 mm (5.9 in) long-wheelbase 2,760 mm (108.7 in) and Its total body is 200 mm. The (7.9 inches) long body allows seating in three rows, with 7-seater and 6-seater (with captain’s seats) options offered. The car has also been introduced with redesigned front style and larger 18-inch wheels.

The Alcazar Nu is available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and 1.5-liter diesel, with a previous claim of 0–100 kph (0–62 mph) acceleration figure of 9.5 seconds. Both engine options are available with a choice between a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai ALCAZAR comes with four power trains including a 2.0 l petrol MPi engine and a 1.5 l diesel CRDi engine with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. The 2.0 l petrol MPi engine with 6-speed manual transmission delivers the power to conquer at speeds of 0 – 100 kph in 9.5 seconds. While the 2.0 l petrol MPi engine and the 1.5 l diesel CRDi engine both offer the best in segment fuel efficiency with a 6-speed manual as well as 6-speed automatic transmission.

Alcazar is the company’s best-selling SUV, the three-row version of the Creta. From time to time, this South Korean carmaker keeps updating its variant lineup to keep its products fresh. This time around, the company has introduced four new seven-seater variants to Hyundai Alcazar’s variant lineup by discontinuing its two-base petrol six-seater variant and with automatic transmission.

Hyundai has discontinued Alcazar’s entry-level Prestige and Prestige (O) six-seater petrol variant. They were offered with manual and automatic transmissions, respectively. However, the company has now launched four new seven-seater automatic transmission variants that are available with both petrol and diesel engines. They are introduced in Platinum (O) and Signature (O) terms. The ex-showroom (Delhi) prices of these new variants are listed below:

Speaking of engine features, the Hyundai Alcazar is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 157 hp of power and 191 Nm of peak torque. This six / seven-seater SUV also has a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 113 hp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

In terms of features, the Alcazar gets a larger 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system with Car Tech connected to Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and BlueLink. There is also a panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Bose sound system, digital instrument cluster, and more. The Hyundai Alcazar is offered in three trim levels, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature spread across several manuals and automatic (O) variants. It is currently priced at Rs 16.30 lakh – Rs 20.14 lakh, between the former showroom Delhi.
