8 Ways You Can Add Steel to Your Home Decor

Using steel in your home can change the style of decoration of your home like aesthetic, traditional, rustic, modern, and everything in between. Here are 8 innovative ways you can easily incorporate steel into your home decor.

  1. Faucet and faucet

Industrial-style faucets and faucets are a great way to turn your bathroom into a budget. If you do not have the time, energy, or funds to transform your entire bathroom suite, fit new steel accessories to completely transform the beauty of the room.

  2. Tables

You can use steel for your table in two ways: either as a tabletop or as a table leg. Steel table tops are extremely easy to clean and work very well with bench-style crossed wooden legs. Industrial legs, on the other hand, are a great way to raise or elevate a beautiful wooden tabletop for your dining room table or coffee table.

  3. Walls

That’s the decent thing to do, and it should end there. Building homes and units from shipping containers have been incredibly popular over the last few years, so use corrugated steel sheets for your walls to bring this aesthetic to your bathroom.

It can be especially attractive and modern with polished concrete floors and even concrete bathroom suites. You can soften the effect by adding lots of natural wood and live plants or just stick to using corrugated sheets as a backslash for your sink or shower.

  4. Cabinets

If you’re tired of kitchen cabinets and want to give them a little treat, why not replace the middle panel with corrugated or textured steel sheets? Not only can it add some edge to your kitchen, but it can also be a simple and cost-effective DIY project.

For a more American-inspired vintage look, you may want to consider using metal lockers instead of cabinets, or as storage in different rooms around the house.

  5. Wall decoration

Check out your local vintage, antiques, and second-hand stores for old steel pots, pans, serving platters, and even cutlery. These elements can be displayed in different ways, such as in a display case, piled on a table, or of course, hung on a wall as a decoration.

You can also find various steel wall hangings such as signs and artistic sculptures that make for beautiful wall decoration in every room.

  6. Drowning

For a more rustic bathroom aesthetic, reuse or recycle some old steel industrial tubs as modern sinks. Contrast the steel sink with the wooden shelf to soften the room feel and enhance the rustic features.

  7. Stairs

There are many options for incorporating steel into your staircase design – the possibilities are endless! Whether you choose entirely steel stairs or just steel railings, it can add both stability and aesthetic interest to your home.

  8. Kitchen Vent

On top of each hob cooker, it is often a legal requirement to have a hood, called a vent. When turned on, the hub vent provides significant ventilation to prevent smoke and moisture from accumulating. For the industrial element in your kitchen, choose a complete steel hood vent with a steel hood vent for the structure.
